CASSINI HACKATHON
Build a solution that impacts international development and humanitarian aid and win PLN 10,000.
Three days of genuine brainstorming and a chance to craft a unique business idea using satellite and navigation data. This sums up the sixth edition of the CASSINI Hackathon, taking place from November 3-5 at the Krakow Technology Park. The hackathon is for everyone wanting to influence international development and humanitarian aid.
The 6th edition of the CASSINI Hackathon will be simultaneously held in 11 European countries! Krakow Technology Park is the local host for the event in Poland in a stationary form. For all participants, it’s an opportunity to meet, collaborate, and most importantly, address global challenges and develop innovative solutions utilizing satellite data. The best team in Poland will receive the main prize of PLN 10,000. Winning teams from each country will also compete for a six-month mentoring program, covering 100 hours of individual consultations with experts and an opportunity for international growth.
This year, the organizers have defined 3 main challenges to support responsible international development and to devise solutions in the field of humanitarian aid. The objective of this edition is to develop smart solutions that bolster the idea of international collaboration for economic development and humanitarian assistance in regions with limited access to potable water and food. All this, of course, based on satellite data, with assistance from mentors, representatives of the business world, NGOs, and scientists. IMPORTANT! The event is an ideathon; the concept matters more than the programmed solution.
Registration for the hackathon lasts until October 26. Whole teams can register, with a minimum of three members, or individuals can sign up and form a team on the portal. The CASSINI Hackathon is not only a chance to develop an exciting business idea and compete, but primarily an opportunity to establish lasting relationships and spend time in a creative circle.
